25 SANTIM

Pick a number nobody else will

Toss it up

Your number

Hangs in the sky

Every player picks too

Everyone tosses theirs

00:00

The clock runs out
From the lowest number up

Every doubled number sinks

One is left standing

The lowest one alone wins

Example

iPhone 17 for 7.25 Birr

Your number was 7.25. Nobody else picked it. You pay 7.25 Birr for the phone, plus the fees you paid to play.

  1. A 25 santim coin: the coin nobody spends.
  2. Pick a number nobody else will, down to the santim, and toss it up.
  3. Your number hangs in the sky, sealed. Everyone tosses theirs.
  4. The clock runs out. From the lowest number up, every number picked twice or more sinks.
  5. One is left standing: the lowest number picked by exactly one player wins.
  6. That player pays their number in Birr for the prize. For example, an iPhone 17 for 7.25 Birr.

How it works

One evening, one number, one winner.

  1. Pick numbers down to the santim inside the listing's range, like 7.25. Each number costs that listing's fee.

  2. Numbers stay sealed until the clock runs out. The bot messages you ten minutes before.

  3. At the close, numbers are revealed from the lowest up. Every number picked twice or more drops out.

  4. The lowest number picked by exactly one player wins. That player pays their number and gets the prize.

When it doesn't go to plan

Extended, not cancelled.

Extended

Not enough players

A listing that closes short of its minimum number of bids gets 24 more hours, once. Then it closes whatever the count.

No sunset

No number stands alone

If every number was picked by two or more people, nobody wins. Fees aren't returned.

Next in line

The winner doesn't pay

The winner has 48 hours. If they pass or run out of time, the next lowest number picked once is offered the prize, and so on.

Questions

Before you toss.

Can I pick more than one number?

Yes, up to the listing's limit per player. Each number is a separate bid with its own fee.

Why not just pick 0.01?

Because everyone thinks that. Low numbers get crowded and drop out. The skill is guessing the lowest number nobody else will choose.

Do I get my fee back?

No. A fee pays for the number, whatever the outcome, even when a listing has no winner.

How do I pay?

Top up inside the Telegram app with telebirr, M-Pesa or a bank transfer. Fees and the winning price come from that balance.

Can I see that it was fair?

Yes. Every number of every closed listing is published on the results page, with no names, so anyone can recount the result.
